MARS CARS is an outreach program that adapts Fisher-Price Power Wheels for Easter Seals Children with physical and/or mental disabilities. The growing visibility of the project led MARS/WARS to seek out more teams that would be interested in adapting a vehicle. MARS/WARS has been joined in this outreach effort by Mechanical Monarchy #5442 and Rockford Robotics #2039 to adapt vehicles for special needs children in their community. Our goal is to add another FIRST team to this project every year. This outreach program allows teams to use the skills learned through FIRST in real world applications to impact the lives of the special needs children and their families.

MARS/WARS takes great pride in its MARS/CARS program and look to take on a new project every year from a person in need within our community. We find it important to give back to our community that has supported us using the skills we have learned. MARS/WARS seeks to continue the MARS CARS program though every generation of team members to give them a understanding of the good they can do for others and to see the smile on the child and parents that it helps to support.
