After 2018's Season, we started on our sixth annual MARS/CARS. We created a specialized toy car for a twelve year old boy named Justin.  Justin’s car started off as a green go cart that once belonged to Alex, a past MARS/CARS recipient, that had grown out of his own car. Alex’s car was modified to make it usable for Justin. Since Justin is unable to use the lower half of his body, the pedals had to be adjusted so that he could safely use the car without his feet.  Since Justin has a hard time with hand eye coordination, the team made sure to make the car slow so that he couldn’t accidentally lose control and hurt himself. The go cart was decorated red with flames on the side, there were Bluetooth speakers installed, and a customized license plate on the back.
