In early 2013,  we created and built a car for Harper. Harper’s grandmother reached out to us, telling the team about Harper and her condition and about how it was prohibiting her from properly steering the typical wheel of a toy car.  Our team then took it upon themselves to remodel a car to fit Harper’s needs. The steering wheel was replaced with an easily maneuverable joystick and the exterior was redesigned to Harper's tastes, ponies and flowers being painted onto the sides of the car with the help of the art students.  Then, to finish it all off, a custom made Illinois license plate was tacked onto the back of the car, tying the entire project off to a perfect finish.
