For the past couple of years, MARS/WARS has had the honor of presenting at the Career Spark. Hosted at the Peoria Civic Center, the Career Spark is an event for eighth grade students from schools across central Illinois. The goal of the event is to get young students thinking about different career paths and options for their futures. This year, the team took two of our robots and drove them around, giving the students a chance to observe and ask questions about the design process and about engineering in general. Mars Wars members were able to talk about the high school and FIRST experience they had and help generate interest in the tech field.
